Email sign-in
When you request a sign-in link or app sign-in code, our Cloudflare service processes the email address you enter and your connection's IP address. Cloudflare Email Sending delivers sign-in emails. The account database stores keyed identifiers derived from email addresses and IP addresses rather than those raw values, along with account IDs, link status, and session records. These identifiers remain personal information. The email provider processes recipient addresses and delivery information to send and protect the service.
Sign-in links and app sign-in codes expire after 15 minutes and can each be used once. App codes also require a private proof held by the requesting app and allow no more than five attempts. Successful sign-in sets a necessary, secure browser cookie remembered for up to one year of inactivity; returning to the account renews that period. Signing out revokes that device's session. The app temporarily stores its pending sign-in proof on the device so you can return from your email without starting over; the proof expires after 15 minutes and is removed after successful sign-in. The sign-in page has no advertising trackers or third-party fonts. Link-request records older than 24 hours are removed when a subsequent link request is processed. Account records are retained to recognize access on later visits, and expired session records may remain until maintenance or a deletion request. For account questions or deletion requests, email chhcsim@gmail.com. Signing in does not purchase the game. Opening the signed-in customer game synchronizes its saves as described below.
Who handles your information
The independent creator operating under the Chicago Hockey Head Coach Simulator brand is responsible for the information handled for this website and game. For privacy questions or requests, contact chhcsim@gmail.com.
When you visit
The public website is hosted by Cloudflare. Delivering and protecting a website involves processing technical information such as your IP address, browser information, requested pages, and request times. Cloudflare may process request and security information as part of providing its hosting services. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
The site loads its typefaces from Google Fonts. Your browser therefore contacts Google to request the font files, which discloses connection information such as your IP address and browser details. See Google Fonts' privacy information.
The homepage and press page count visits, demo-link clicks, purchase-link clicks, media-download clicks and trailer starts in daily totals. An approved campaign label in a link (such as youtube) may identify the source. These counters store only the date, event category, campaign label and total. They do not store your email address, IP address, full URL, referrer, game save or a visitor identifier, and do not use tracking cookies or browser storage. The counters honor browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals. Counts older than 90 days are removed when the service next records activity. They measure clicks, not completed purchases or unique people. Cloudflare still processes connection and security information to deliver the service. We do not add advertising trackers. Your browser also caches downloaded files.
When you contact us
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in the message, such as your name, device information, order reference, or attachments. We use this information to answer questions, provide support, investigate problems, and keep relevant support records. Messages are handled through Gmail. Please do not send passwords, payment-card details, or unnecessary sensitive information.
We keep correspondence only as long as reasonably needed to resolve the request, maintain relevant records, or meet legal obligations. You can ask us to delete it; some records may need to be retained for an outstanding dispute or a legal requirement.
Game saves and recovery
The signed-in demo and full game save progress on your device and automatically sends your career saves to private Cloudflare storage to synchronize your three slots across devices. Saves include game results, choices, relationships, saved custom writing and character responses, career identifiers, and checkpoint timestamps. Access is checked against your signed-in account. We keep the current cloud save and up to three earlier checkpoints per slot for recovery. Replacing a conflicting local save also keeps recovery copies on that device. Temporary files from interrupted storage operations may remain until maintenance.
Cloud saves are kept for continued play and recovery until replaced under the checkpoint limit or removed following a verified deletion request. Resetting a slot marks it empty across devices; earlier checkpoints may remain available for recovery. To request deletion of cloud saves or account information, email chhcsim@gmail.com. Clearing browser data removes local copies but does not delete cloud saves, account records or support correspondence. Exported backups remain wherever you store them. The public marketing homepage does not read or upload careers.
Optional custom conversations
If you choose to submit a custom response, our Cloudflare service receives your writing and saved career context. It sends your words and selected scene, character and relevant history information to OpenAI to generate and evaluate the character's reply. We retain request identifiers, results and usage records to recover interrupted responses and enforce the included allowance. Using a prepared answer does not request a generated reply. The game explains this before submission. Do not enter personal or confidential information into game responses. See OpenAI's Privacy Policy.
Purchases
Paddle processes purchases as merchant of record. A separate sandbox is used for payment testing without real charges. Our service records transaction and customer identifiers, product and price references, payment or refund status, and the association with your game account to grant or restore access and prevent duplicate processing. Payment details entered into Paddle's checkout are handled by Paddle; our game service does not receive full card numbers. These access and transaction records are retained for account access, support and applicable recordkeeping needs. Paddle's own notice describes information it processes during checkout. See Paddle's Privacy Policy.
Why information is used and shared
We use information to deliver and secure the website, respond to requests, and meet applicable obligations. Where a legal basis is required, these activities rely on our legitimate interests in operating a secure site and providing support, steps requested before or under a contract, or legal obligations, as applicable. Features requiring consent will request it before the relevant processing.
We do not sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising. Hosting and email providers process information needed for their services. We may also disclose relevant information where legally required or reasonably necessary to protect rights and security. Providers may process information in countries other than your own under their applicable data-protection arrangements.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of personal information, object to or restrict certain processing, or withdraw consent where processing depends on it. Email chhcsim@gmail.com to make a request. We may need to confirm that the request relates to you. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority.
We do not knowingly solicit personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us so we can address it. We take reasonable steps to protect information, but no internet service can guarantee complete security.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page and its date when practices change. Material changes, including the introduction of checkout or external AI processing, will be explained before the new feature collects information.
